life // according to instagram

1// Trying to organise all of my Scrapbooking paper. It is the one supply that I just can't seem to keep organised for long. Any suggestions?
2// The view from my living room/kitchen window. Looks so pretty in the mornings.
3// I wish this was Smellagram because this tea smells divine! Citrus breakfast tea.
4// New tags for my Etsy shop. So cute for presents of art journalling.
5// Beautiful messy rags. I think I'll be able to put these to good use ;)
6// Sharing a sneak peek of my new blog design. My instagram followers were the first to see it.
7// Throwback Thursday. One of my early art journal pages. I think I have come a long way since then.
8// Had to repost this. Such inspirational words from Martin Luther King Jr.
9// Packaging up orders today, making them pretty and then off they go!
10// Nice brekkie and then off to another busy day in the studio
11// View of my workspace. Working on some new art. This is when I am at my happiest.
12// Pineapple Cilantro Yankee Candle Tart. Nice, fresh Spring smell that I'm loving to fill the house with right now.
13// Chai Tea Latte and slippers after a busy day in the studio. A bit of chill out time before I entertained a friend for dinner.
14// Fabric flower jewellery for my Etsy shop. Available soon!
15// One of the faces from my 1st week of 29 Faces. This one is created using mainly Neocolours 11.
16// Mmmm chocolate cake. I love other people's birthdays lol!
17// My 2014 diary. I think I would be lost without this little gem, I would definitely forget my daily to-do lists if I didn't have my diary.
18// I never take selfies! I decided to have a "me afternoon/evening". It was a spur of the moment decision but I really needed it. I went for a little shopping and then watched some "good/bad" tv (Dr. Phil) with popcorn.
19// What a gorgeous afternoon it was. The sun was shining and the air was fresh after a morning of spilling rain. Spring is on it's way!
20//  One of my most favourite things in our apartment, my Salt Rock lamp. Such a pretty glow.
21// My collection of pencils and charcoal - it's the little things!
22// Working on some greeting cards. One was for a commission for a wedding and one was for my love for Valentine's Day.
23// Cups of tea while editing photos. It's the only way to get through it....
24// New socks in Spring/Summer colours. I have this weird thing that happens to all of my socks, one heel on every sock ends up with a big hole in it after just a few wears. So I needed some new ones.
25// Still continuing with my 29 Faces. I am really enjoying this challenge, I feel I am improving each and every day.
26// Getting ready to write to my new penpals.
27// Gotta love the limitless feeling I get when I use my art journal. Nothing is wrong, nothing is a mistake, instead every move is an opportunity to learn.
28// Trying to organise some clothes. What a mess. How did I get like this?!!

I'm Still Here!

Hey everyone!
Just a little note to let you all know that I am still here. My laptop had a mini meltdown last weekend and I had to have it fixed but we seem to be back in action now :)
Things will be back to normal as of tomorrow.

Take care

29 Faces Day 8-14

I have decided to take part in the 29 Faces Challenge for the month of February. For those of you who aren't familiar with 29 Faces, it is a challenge where you create 1 face a day for 29 days. Very easy! You can find out all the details and how to participate here.

More fun with the 29 Faces Challenge this week. I feel like I am getting better at them and I am getting myself into more of a routine too. This week I pick Day 11 is my favourite, it is a simple charcoal sketch. I think her expression is interesting and I love how unusual her hairstyle is.
Which one do you pick? If you are taking part in the 29 Faces Challenge yourself, how do you feel you are getting on with it?
Do you feel you are improving your skills? I'd love to hear all about it.

Have a great Saturday

Friday Favourites #5 - Valentine's Day Special

Am I going crazy or are the weeks getting shorter?! That week flew by. Whizzed. I have had a great week despite the weather lashing it down most days. I shared the 1st 7 faces in the 29 Faces Challenge which got a great response from readers, I announced the 2 lucky winners of my Valentines Giveaway, I introduced everyone to some of my favourite art supplies, I went on a little office supplies shopping trip, shared #2 in my 50 Painting Challenge and created a Valentine's Day art journal page. Phew! Ok, maybe that is why I feel the weeks are flying by. Anyway, it is finally Friday which means it is also Valentine's Day for those who care to acknowledge it. So I have put together a little 'Valentine's Special' for Friday Favourites this week. Can you feel the love?

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

These banana printables crack me up...
Nerd love!
This gorgeous white ring by Oh Kuol. I wonder how many are getting rings today?!
Hehe! Gotta love Jesse. I know someone who would appreciate this funny card....
Love hearts everywhere today :)
Hmm, good question
Yes to everything on this list
100 Hearts, artwork by Elizabeth Rosen. So colourful!
Aww, well it is his Valentine's Day too.....
Old fashioned Valentines are the best !

Valentine's Day Art Journal Page

With Valentine's Day being tomorrow (but we are celebrating it tonight as I have to work in the pub on Friday) I thought I would create a double page spread with it in mind. *Queue red and pink colour palette*

Sure you'd have to add a little sparkle for Valentine's.... the day is so full of tacky anyway so I thought I'd add to it with a bit of glitter.

I came across these cute "chalkboard inspired" stickers by American Crafts in TK Maxx months ago. I'd say it was even before Christmas when I found them, sitting like a diamond among the rough. I brought them straight to the till because I knew I would take great pleasure in using them in a project such as this one.

I also filmed the process so I will be uploading it to my Youtube channel asap. Hopefully that will be later today but if not it should be Friday. I will keep you posted anyway so watch out for it on social networks.

What do you think then guys? I'm quite pleased with it actually, I like the colours. It isn't a palette I would typically go for to be honest I would never normally have that much pink. That is what I love so much about setting yourself challenges; you just never know what will happen or what you will learn or discover about yourself. I think sometimes we convince ourselves that we really don't like something when actually if we take the time to explore it a little we discover it's not so bad after all.

Let me know if you agree with this. Are there any discoveries you have made about your art/craft and/or yourself lately?

Have a wonderful Thursday
Ciara
